Cannabis vs. Opiods: An infographic

Cannabis has been used medicinally for 6,000 years, but became criminalized and demonized in the early 20th Century. By the end of the 1990s, a surge in opioid prescriptions led to an epidemic of dependency and overdoses. Studies show both cannabis and opioids are effective in treating chronic pain, but this infographic compares the two drugs, illustrating which one is safer for long term use.

Spoiler alert: It’s cannabis.
