Dr. Sue Sisley, the president of Scottsdale Research institute who performed an FDA-approved study on the use of marijuana in combat veterans with PTSD, has been added to the International Canna Pro Expo to be held June 24-25 in Philadelphia.
Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism member Erica Daniels, who recently appeared on NBC’s “Today” show to discuss her new autism-friendly cookbook, “Cooking with Leo,” will also speak at the two-day conference. Temple University Health System CEO Dr. Larry R. Kaiser will also speak about medical marijuana. Kaiser’s wife, Lindy Snider, is a cannabis industry investor and also an applicant for a grower/processor and dispensary license under Pennsylvania’s upcoming medical marijuana program.
Talk host and cannabis entrepreneur Montel Williams is the keynote speaker at the conference. The talk show host treats his own multiple sclerosis with cannabis and has long advocated the benefits of marijuana. The conference is geared toward medical and business professionals but is also open to the public. It offers CME, CNE and CLE credits.
As Pennsylvania prepares for the rollout of medical marijuana in 2018, we expect many medical professionals from the state to take advantage of this convention which will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel which has a special room rate for conference attendees.
